Plique-à-jour

These videos might seem like a photoshopped version of one’s life, but if you think of it, memories are just that. You tend to remember the lovely moments, the whole human race has been photoshopping their own lives in happy memories since even before ancient times. That is letting in the daylight to our lives. Plique-à-jour, Let in the daylight.

A special day because I had @wood_and_slate breads all the way from Palos Verdes... in our SD home! Check her our if you live in the LA area, her baking and cooking classes... and her bread orders! Matcha loaves, soy crumble bread made from a fragrant korean herb, Amaretti buns with cream, kumquat financiers(these were my favorite) and nostalgic sausage veggie bread. YUMMMM 😋
Lunch 🥗 Spring mood! Even started working out since last week with the famous Chloe Ting(very late into the trend 😆), I was finally influenced by Mr.B who started his own intense home training routine 2 months ago 👍 Topped with lemon oil, dill, garlic salt, also first time trying the everything bagel seasoning that I have recently started to notice 🤓
We finally had our solar installed we thought it would be installed before Christmas, took so long... 5 months 😓 Mr.B being the huge money saver(not complaining 😆 it’s actually one of his super powers and his hobby😬) with the thought of solar soon coming in we were trying to save on electricity in all ways. This pre-renovated home.... even with minimal use the bills were insane 😱 (Older pool system?) Wow we made it through the winter with banned heaters, I normally put off heaters as long as I can because I don’t like them anyways but it felt different when it’s off limits 🙄. Since our home felt cruel to us this winter I had no motivation of prettying up our spaces but now that it’s warm, and with solar in now 😂 I want to be nice to our home again... Started moving things around to find places for all our THINGS that we just had thrown around. FUN 🤍 Can’t wait to start renovating but also can’t wait to put some planters and green things inside our home 🪴
Love having a day I can call them poets and musicians and designers and make themselves think and know they seriously are! Learned a bit about Font design, what a design board is and we thought about what could make us feel like a true club 👍
🦾AI 🤔 one of the future things we live among that I clueless about...⁉️Mighty progresses that deserve to be celebrated, but now it seems like we have to evolve in another direction. Good people in the world are definitely becoming humble and fierce with recent happenings, and are quickly learning and getting to work 💪. Heartfelt compassion, humor, kindness and connection, the super qualities of God we were meant to take after. Not 🤖 super-bots or 🖥 computers but only people have those awesome abilities. Whatever professions our little ones choose, they will be more free of the burden of numbers and technical performances by hand. They say they will be able to focus on creatively putting in their authentic selves and human factors into their works, it sounds so exciting!! They will be the rockstar generation🎸. They will have rewarding victory dances, rich laughs, delicious conversations with people who they disagree with during their careers and I hope they will weave in marvels and appreciation of arts, nature and God into their work. It sounds like they will be the most beautiful romantic human beings for sure. 🙏How lucky are we? We get to prioritize the finer values that our parenting hearts were always yearning to lean on 🤍
Earl grey rare cheesecakes ☕️ I was set on having these sugar glass decorations for this earl grey cake.. and I love the look 🙆🏻‍♀️ The citrus version recipe is in my highlights, used the same recipe but I used VERY strong tea(more like tea extract) instead of the lemon juice and hot water used to mix in the gelatin powder. I love how cakes are so DELIGHTFUL!

Over the summer our special middle child London lost her first baby tooth and it was an emotional day for me. She is forever my sweet angel soul, and she is a big girl now. They go through everything I went through and what every other adult throughout all human kind has gone through, but […]

Videologue #30. 11th Wedding Anniversary in Santa Monica

It was our 11th Anniversary in August. This is a belated posting. Lot’s of Summer things were going on and we had our regular jolly in-pour of summer guests as well. The kids summer projects and family trip videos and a work video were upfront on my video priority list, but Mr.B and I as […]

Videologue #29. Wood and Slate Cooking Class

I am clearly a romanticist. My kindred spirts all know this, but of course It’s not something I proudly tell strangers upfront. Not because I believe romanticist are sexist and unrealistic. I think it has nothing to do with the whole princesses and prince charming sort of dangerous delusion. However It absolutely does have everything […]

Videologue #28. Summer Shakespeare Team Project

Of course this summer just had to swoosh by again and remind me I am getting old(er?!) way to fast, yikes! I remember writing in this blog last summer, how did a year fill in the time from then and now so effortlessly? If I think of how time seems to pass by in sleek […]

Videologue #27. Vegas With Kids and New School Year Mama Pledges

Annual, sometimes biannual family Vegas trips, Vegas with kids, we love it. I was nothing but bias about this sin city Vegas before. Then I found out what a super fun packed and convenient family trip destination it is for the whole family. I feel this is one of those place where they invested unlimited […]

Videologue #26. Gyukatsu and London’s Bike Acheivements

Once upon a time, until I as 27 I used to enjoy living in my bubble of a world my own way, breathing in the wonder of all things that fate held for me, enjoying all people and personalities and emotions and happenings. The pace of my life… I remember it as an unworldly […]

Videologue #25. Damien’s 9th Harry Potter Birthday

Sometimes I try to look back hard and remember what I can about my childhood.  It would be great study material, every mistake and achievement and emotion, all the interactions with family and buddies and strangers that came along with all my little experiences. When I wish to steer myself more efficiently in so many […]

Videologue #24. Korean Table, International Night

Maybe I am very disorganized, I always have a crazy way of proceeding with projects at the last minute, which don’t allow sleep, only 1 to 2 hour power naps about 2 times a day. I can hardly ask for help because I think I am sure I will drive people insane. The worst […]

Videologue #23. My 38th Birthday

It was my 38th birthday a few weeks ago. If someone asks how old I am, I think 28, but I was 28 the year after I got married. My brains recognition of my age stopped at 28, I don’t remember full years passing by after 28, how can 10 years be feel so short? The […]

It is the end of the school year. It’s good that I am spiritually back with my family, I was going through some soul/existence cleansing since January, that’s a way to explain what I was going through. I woke up to see there is so much going on!  Every mom is so busy and is […]
